The first step of our project process is to have a telephone or e-mail conversation with you to gain initial understanding of your requirements and budget. From this, we can prepare a draft proposal for you based on your brief, our experience and your choice of finishes.
Step two is a design visit if required. If you have an interest in commissioning Inhouse Interiors, we will arrange a designer visit to discuss requirements, assess the space and to discuss finishes in greater depth. Whilst we are happy to offer the initial consultation free of charge, due to high demand for our services we may not be able to offer this every time and every request, particularly for more complicated and extensive projects unless the client is happy to commission us to prepare a comprehensive Design Service, a service for which we charge £100+VAT per room.
As we are based in London, for design visits outside the M25 we may ask for a nominal consultation fee, which increases in value for locations well outside London. Fully deductible from your final invoice balance, this fee covers our travel expenses and initial design time as well as full 3D proposals along with an estimate
There is a minor design fee of £100 per room at this stage, which is fully deductible from the final order. This process can take from a few days to a few weeks to complete, depending on the order. During this period we’re more than happy to have you check in and be fully involved with the ‘work-in-progress’ process of designing your furniture.
Once these designs go through to your satisfaction, the ball begins to roll and we will be able to provide a firm quote within the ballpark figure originally estimated. We will send a surveyor to take precise measurements and prepare detailed production drawings for our craftsmen to work with. A deposit is payable at this point, usually up to 50% of the order value. The final production drawings are sent to you for final approval and you can count down to the day you will have your new furniture installed.
You will be assigned a project manager to guide you through the design and specification process. We will send a surveyor to take precise measurements and prepare detailed production CAD drawings for our craftsmen to work with. We will conduct detailed site surveys; and liaise with any other contractors on site for electrics, plumbing and decoration co-ordination.
Our team will be constantly liaising with our workshop regarding production updates, ordering of materials and of any special components required, whilst you can count down to the day you will have your new furniture installed.
A period of around 8 weeks passes (longer for more complicated pieces) during which we’re busy at work behind the scenes. Once everything is ready, we will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery and installation date, and at this point a further stage payment of the order value is payable. Our experienced fitters will take a great care to install your furniture in a timely, hassle free and considerate manner. They will leave work areas clean and tidy every evening, and tidy up thoroughly at the end of the installation, removing packaging and touching up paintwork where required.
Once the installation has been undertaken to your complete satisfaction, the remaining balance will be due, taking into account payments already made, including those for the original designs.
Our service doesn’t end at installation… we are always on hand and happy to provide advice and guidance about furniture care and to make any adjustments or additions you might require as time passes and your needs evolve! For your peace of mind, our furniture is also guaranteed for five years.
Thank you for the excellent work in our flat. We are very pleased with everything. Read more…
